“A true French experience!”
Perrine was a patient and knowledgeable instructor, giving us instructions and then handing the reins over, under her helpful eye. We first went to a local market, learning the ins and outs of the Paris markets, and how to order the freshest foods from the vendors. Followed by a few specialty shops including a butcher, bakery, and award-winning cheese shop (we even were invited to see inside the butchery walk-in freezer!). I loved the intimacy of the class - just the two of us and Perrine in her lovely home. She had asked for our input into the menus, so had picked recipes that we thought we would also be able to do at home. We made souffles (which now I am not intimidated by), and a delicious meat dish, vegetable dish, and dessert! We enjoyed our labors at a beautifully laid table with Perrine, while she discussed cheese, wine, and the Parisian way of life. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Paris - Highly recommended!!
