Great experience!”
Our family of four, including sons aged 24 and 28, thoroughly enjoyed our half-day cooking class with Perrine Vedrinelle! She is warm, very knowledgeable about French cooking (which is clearly a passion for her) and generous with her time and ideas. Perrine offered us several intriguing menu options and we chose cheese souffle, guinea hen in white wine, and chocolate tart with raspberries. With the menu set, we embarked on a shopping tour through a top-notch cheese shop, boulangerie, and the outdoor markets (wonderful fresh fish, meat, poultry, vegetables, etc.). At each stop the proprietors knew Perrine and greeted us warmly. We then moved to her kitchen, which was modern and well designed for our preparation. Perrine’s English is excellent, having spent a year in the US, and she shared techniques and Parisian cooking lore with ease. Everyone had a hand in the preparations. The three course meal emerged hot and was served in her lovely dining room, accompanied by a delicious wine with a view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance! Ms. Vedrinelle’s cooking class is an excellent way to learn about French cuisine and a unique opportunity to meet a local for friendly conversation. Our experience was first-rate !
